This is the point where I instate the mantra. "No news is good news."
Repeat until I have brainwashed myself into believing it.
The first couple of weeks the calls and emails are few and far between. It sucks.
I try to remind myself that my grandparents only form of communication was snail mail, and how long that took to get back and forth during WW II and the Korean War. Not to mention he was gone longer than one year and no visit home.
Compared to that we've got it good. I'm blessed for the quick communication that we have.
It's days like this, I'm thankful this isn't my Grandpas war.

When do things start getting on to a more "normal" schedule for him where y'all can Skype, etc?
