Magical Treasures Part 3

So it has been awhile since I did a Magical Treasures post. I wanted to post something today but I was feeling like I have nothing to say. Then it dawned on me that I still have loads of photos to share from my trip home back in July. Just in case you're not up to speed here is the post that shows the magic I used to transform a room at my Mom's house. There are 5 more of these. It is something my Mom must have saved from some newspaper back in the day. Her and I do not want to just toss these in the recycle bin, yet we don't know what to do with them. Sure I thought about framing them but that would take up a lot of wall space. I'll share the other 5 tomorrow. I just think they are so cool!

Magical Treasures Part 2

This book was found in the room I magically transformed at my Mom's. This book had her maiden name at the top. I bet it was a book that she grew up reading. I just love the illustrations! Click on any of them to see more detail. Enjoy.

Magical Treasures Part 1

I shared with you a few of the treasures that I found in my magic room that made me think of some of my blogger buds. If you thought this post and this one was all the treasures I found you are either in for a nice surprise or you will be sadly mistaken. Or you could be board to death over what has become my blog fodder. I'll let you in on a little secret right now, I have SEVERAL posts that are full of treasures found in my magic room. I don't want you to die of boredom so I'll understand if you want to leave now. Your loss though!

Trouble is I do not know where to begin! So many treasures so lil time!
My Mom has, I swear, the first 20 years of Ms magazine. I didn't take pictures of those but it was fun glancing at the covers of some as I was boxing them up. I came across a few other magazines that she had kept. I took photos of those because they were down right cool!!

If you ever wondered why I wear the pants in the family or why I am such a feminist. There's your answers up there. I grew up with my feminist Mom and a feminist Grandma. There was no hope for me, and I'm glad!

I told you that I had a bunch of something that made me think of one blogger, well okay it actually makes me think of 2. Lisa from Lisa's Chaos is who I thought of right away and then I thought about Pamela at The Dust Will Wait. Lots of photos today so no more talky talky.








I want to frame these at some point. They are such pretty bird prints. But I like Lisa and Pamela's REAL bird photos better!!!

Thinking of You

I found a lot of treasures in the room I worked my magic on. For some strange reason I kept seeing things that made me think of other bloggers. I haven't decided if this makes me a very thoughtful person or if it just makes me a real nut case.


First up is ChrisB over at Ms Cellania. I want to read it. I brought it home with me. It is just so hard for me to get into. I hope it gets easier. Anyway, when I saw this I immediately thought of her and Beccy.
This entire front row on this shelf made me think of Jenni over at Prairie Air.
This made me think of Nikki from My Husband Calls me Weird and my BFF Fianna. Nikki because of this and Fianna because she used to be my own lil' Strawberry Shortcake!
I found this magazine.
Inside the magazine I found something that made me think of AFF, it happened to be on the same day she posted this!
I found one thing that contained many more things. It made me think of another blogger but there was so many that it will have to be a post all it's own!
I do have one more for today. I found a book that was one of my favorites and one of my hubby's favorites all in one!
