WTF Wednesday is the brain child of the ubber hawt Trannyhead. She has dubbed the last Wednesday of every month to be the time to get out all the WTF's we had during the month. Oh boy do I have a TON of WTF's from this month. Brace yourselves.
The month started off with my Middle Man getting mastoiditis(I wrote about it briefly here). But what really made that a WTF was the fact that when we went to the ER we waited for over 5 hrs before they took us into a room for the DR to see us, and 2 more hours before they said he needed to be admitted. If his condition was serious enough to be admitted why the fuck did we wait for 7 damn hours? The boy had a 102 temp when we got there. Do they think just because they gave him ibuprofen it justifies the wait? WTF!
While stressed and having lack of sleep from giving my baby meds every 6 hours round the clock I wore myself down enough to get a massive head cold. That was a big WTF for me.
Soon after that Mouth decided it would be a good idea to slam the car door on his left hand. Which gave me more qulaity time at the hospital. At this point I wondered what the fuck else this month had to throw my way.
It answered a week later with Middle Man(just off a course of antibiotics) and Mouth getting a fever at the same damn time with no other sympotoms. WTF?! At least they were low grade fevers but it still sucked sweaty donkey balls for them to be so sick and for me to worry that is was something more. 2 days later my oldest had the mystery fever too. WTF?
Then my counslor unearthed something deep that I had pushed aside so long ago; that I never felt like I had a "home" growing up. This is deep and a big key as to why I just don't give a damn about "keeping house". Much inner work to be done, but the way it hit me gets a big WTF? I went to the gorcery store that afternoon and as pushed the cart up after emptying it the bagger asked me in a very concerned voice, " Are you okay?" I realized then that it was written all over my face.
Random WTF's:
My parents came to visit and my Father is a human garbage disposal. I make the most out of what I cook, meaning I untilize the power of leftovers. My father totally gorged himself while he was here. If I had leftovers he made sure to polish them off before he left. WTF?
An old friend came to town, I hadn't seen her for 3 years. She wanted to come over to see the kids and me and catch up. I fretted over my house, just to be stood up. WTF?! I didn't hear from her at all the night she was to come over. I did not hear from her at all until almost 24 hrs later and then just by a text. WTF?
There you have it. The month of Februrary has flung a ton of shit my way and I am ready for it to be OVER! 3 more days, and March better come in like a lamb. I need some peace and quiet. Smooth sailing. Tanqulitiy. What the fuck am I saying? That is some alternate universe. I have 3 boys. I better wake the fuck up!
Want to do your own WTF Wednesday? Just do it! Make sure you share and sign Mr. Linky over at Trannyheads!

There's No Place Like Home
Today I was asked to describe what I saw when I looked around my house(while not actually in my house), in terms of it's clutter and uncleanliness. After listing a lot of things I saw the last thing I said was,
"I see a lot of things that don't have a home, just laying around all willy nilly."
"There are a lot of things all around me that do not have a home."
I feel like this is not my home.
Because
I never felt like I had a home.
This is some deep shit people.
The saying I have said for years,"There's no place like home." takes on a totally different meaning now.
What is "home"?
I have much inner work to do. I just wish I wasn't so damn analytical.

1 Finger Salute
Not that long ago I told you about Mouth slamming his hand in the car door. The X-rays showed nothing was broken. We had a check up with the DR this week. She was pretty sure that his fingernail will fall off. She also said that the new nail could be deformed, but he is a boy and boys don't care about that kind of stuff, unless he wanted to be a hand model. He already screwed up those chances with all of his thumb sucking.

All I kept thinking was that if the nail does come back deformed that he will have a permanent reason to say "Look at my finger!" while flipping you off and giggling, even if it's on the inside. What? You don't think he'll be like me? He is my mini-me, a different gender mini-me, just without the potty mouth. That day will come and when it does Momma will be so proud!

Side note: Mouth and Middle Man are feeling better today. They both woke up fever free. I hope it stays that way. I was the good Momma and kept them home, following the rule that they be fever free for 24hrs without meds before they return to school. I'm probably the only one that actually follows that rule.

Double Whammy
Why? Why is this happening? Why me? What the fuck did I ever do to February to deserve this shit? When I went to wake up my middle man this morning his cheeks were rosy and when I felt him he was burning up. Mouth had gotten up in the middle of the night and was sleeping in our room, when he walked out of our room while I was checking M.M.'s temp, Mouths cheeks were fucking rosy too!
The fever is their only symptom.
They look oh so pitiful!

February can not only kiss my ass, but it can fuck off too. Assclown.

When it rains it pours
Over a week ago a long lost friend contacted me and said she would be in my area for a week. This was before Middle Man got sick and had to be admitted to the hospital. I wanted to a post about the ordeal that was the ER visit, about the whole thing but it just didn't happen. Here is the shortened version. He had mastoiditis. His left ear was sticking out from his head and it was swollen, kinda like the image shown here, but worse than that image. They got him on an IV, started pushing antibiotics, put a tube in his ear. He is all good now. His med schedule, once home, was such that I was getting minimal sleep when I was already exhausted from the stress and worry over what had happened to him. I got sick with a mad head cold. I am feeling slightly better, still stuffy but I can function now. Oh! Just 2 days ago Mouth decided to shut his hand in my car door, thankfully nothing is broken(he had 3 X-rays) but he will probably loose a fingernail. Life has been super busy, stressful and flat out sucky.
Which brings me back to my friend. She is here now and my house is no where near where I wanted it to be. She knows I don't keep an emaculate house, she does, but I do not. I feel like my house is far from how I normally keep it. I am sure she will not judge but it still bugs me that I never had the chance to do anything that I wanted to. It is what it is. I guess what is really bugging me is that I've let the house go. We own our home and are doing a sucky job at keeping it in good condition and that really does bother me, deep down inside it really truly bothers me. My hubby will call Bullshit! What I feel inside and what I actually do or NOT do does contradict each other, but it doesn't change how I feel deep inside.
I dread the "tour" of my home. We just bought our home 2 and a half years ago, she has never seen it, so giving a "tour" of our home is what is expected. I'm not looking forward to it, because of the way it looks, and also because at this point I have no more time left to get much of anything accomlished. I will do what I can, and I will have to be okay with that. Let myself off the hook for once, well I probably won't be able to do that.
Last night, a last minute kind of thing, I went to go see a movie with my friend. I didn't expect the storms to hit us so soon. When the movie was over there was a fucking DOWNPOUR outside. I learned last night that crocs are not the footwear of choice in a fucking DOWNPOUR. They might be the most comfortable shoe ever made, easy to clean, quick to dry but you never EVER want to be caught wearing them in a fucking DOWNPOUR! Especially when you are trying to run through the parking lot to get to your car. I wasn't even halfway to my car when I ran right out of my shoe. I even ran a couple more steps before I stopped and turned back to go retirive my shoe. I didn't bother putting it back on, I made it a couple more steps before I said FUCK IT! and took off my other shoe. So there I was running barefoot through a parking lot in a fucking DOWNPOUR! My friend will vouch for how hysterically funny it was to watch that entire scene.
I think she laughed harder at my ass then she did the entire movie, and the movie was damn funny!

Fun Monday Where I live
Pamela from The Dust Will Wait is today's Fun Monday host.
I totally forgot I wanted to participate, PAMELA is the hostess!! Her subject was this: Show me in pictures or tell me in words what defines the place where you live.
Kansas was/is/always will be my home! I've mentioned before what my Aunt told me: "You can take the girl out of Kansas but you can't take Kansas out of the girl." There is no truer statement for me! Well, except maybe "There's no place like home." or "Home is where the heart is." or "Home is where Uncle Sam sends us."
There you are Pamela, I showed you in a picture and in words!
I signed up because it was PAMELA!!! I am apologizing in advance that I will not be able to reciprocate a visit and a comment this week. I'll try but I just can't promise anything. Thanks for stopping by! I just couldn't NOT participate in PAMELA'S Fun Monday!!

Macro Monday

Lisa's Chaos is the creator of Macro Monday. All you have to do to play is post a photo of a close up or macro and sign up with Mr.Linky on her blog.
Last week the kids had 3 days off from school and on the 2nd day we went out to play in the snow. It was still snowing and I captured my own snowflake! Not as cool as the ones Lisa has captured with her macro!
I also got some birdy tracks in the snow.
Head over to Lisa's to see more Macros!
