I heart...

I've spent the past 2 weeks in Ks. I was so glad to be home, even if there was a ton of work to be done here. Not only was I glad to be back in my own home, I had a shocking realization.

I like it here. There are many things I am going to miss when we move.

One of the things I hate about moving every 3 years is that 2 and a half years is JUST long enough to get used to a place, get settled, plant roots...

We have been here for longer than that. This August will mark our 4th year. My roots are further in the ground than I like or care to admit.

I have spent the past 10 years wishing and dreaming of moving back to Kansas. Now that it is becoming a reality I'm not as happy about it as I thought I would be. You'd think that getting what I always wanted would trump all the other stuff. At the moment it's not.

I do love the Kansas sky...
