Cards-n-Junk

I used to be organized, on the ball when it came to sending out Christmas cards to all of my friends and family. I would even take a photo of the boys under the tree, print them out and tuck them in the card. That didn't happen last year and if I don't get my butt in gear this weekend it isn't going to happen this year either! We haven't even gone to get our tree yet. I need to locate previous years un-used cards. For over 6 years I would keep a list of names and what cards I sent to each person so as to avoid sending them the same card. I have no idea where the list is. Plus I just don't care anymore. I really need to learn how to make my own.

I bought a birthday card back in October for a birthday that is in December. Have you ever looked at cards and come across THE PERFECT card for someone you know? That happened to me back in October. Do you think I can find that card now? Hell fuck no! I can't find that card and I have torn up my house looking for it. Now I have to send a non-perfect card. This upsets me.

As I type I keep getting email dings from a friend...you know the one that only checks their inbox once every 2 weeks or once a month and when they check they feel the need to fwd on 20 plus emails to everyone in their address book. *ding....*ding....*ding...*ding....*ding...*ding
Shut the fuck up already. I know I know I just need to tell her to stop sending me fwds. Thing is I am just to damn nice to tell her. I just delete them, no harm no foul...right?

You need you ask her politely not to forward you stuff, particularly in group mailing lists. Explain to her that these are the scourge of the internet, as that's how macro type viruses and spam are spread (mailing lists are the main way spammers get addresses).

I delete all forwarded emails if they aren't addressed to only me, but I tell everyone who sends me stuff that is what I do.

Oh yeah, I'm in for Monday, but it's going to be a bit ordinary as all the ornaments are on the Coast.

Glad she doesn't have my email address!

I have never been good about sending out Christmas cards. I may have sent them once in the past 10 years. I sure as hell am not doing them this year. No worries, I don't think anyone will notice the lack of one. They would be happy to receive, but you won't be on any shit list for not getting them out!

I only sent Christmas cards once, right after my son was born (uh, he's...eleven). And when I put all the envelopes in the slot at the post office I conveniently included my military ID, so I could spend 20 minutes making some poor postal worker hate me AND dig through the tub of mail so I could get to the commissary.

I took it as a sign.

Hi! I just now am finding time to take a break from getting my new computer set up, and I went down to Fun Monday [on Tuesday's sign up] and left a comment asking to be added to the list.

Thanks for hosting.

I still have the Christmas cards I bought to send out four Christmases ago. I think the last time I sent out cards was close to 8 years ago.

I'm not putting up a single decoration this year.

I also hate email forwards but can't bring myself to tell my Pampered Chef director and my mom to stop sending them to me, even though every time I get one I want to beat my head into a brick wall.

I have not bought a single Christmas present yet.

Do you feel better now? :-)

I finally had to tell my uncle not to forward any more jokes. He'd forward jokes and then get in to debates about them and cc everyone on the list for his response.

Family - aargh!!!
