I don't like answering questions about me spur of the moment. I hate questions like "What's your favorite day?" you mean my favorite day EVER or what would my favorite day consist of?
"Something you don't know about me..." The list is endless.
"One thing I could not live without?" yeah, I couldn't answer that one either. There are so many things I would answer but I totally could live without if forced to(I've just finished reading "The Road" and "The Hunger Games" series) Upon further reflection I'll live but I won't *live* without my Mom.
I feel like I'm living a lie, but I don't know the lie.
I am feeling like "What's it all for?" Have you ever felt like that?
I'm going through the motions and even my motions suck.
I feel worthless.
I feel meaningless.
I really do feel like I have no worth.
I hate the title homemaker.
I dont make a home.
I don't clean like I should. I don't cook like I should. I don't get my kids up and ready for school like I should. There are an endless number of things that I don't do like I should.
I am quick to compare myself to others.
I hate that.
I feel like a chameleon, I'll be the type of person you want/need me to be.
I am not confident in who I am because I don't know who or what I am!
I don't have a strong sense of self. I envy those that do.
I feel as if I never found me.
I feel like I have accomplished nothing in my life. I feel like I have no purpose.
I lack direction.
I lack the motivation to find that direction.
I lack the desire to find it.
I lack the will.

Hold on darlin'. I feel this way sometimes too and throw in homeschooling and I MUST be ruining their lives. And cleaning and cooking? Forget about it.
The thing to take from this is that our boys will be survivors. :o)
I hope you find your way out of this slump. I usually start by giving myself an attitude adjustment. A good swift kick in the ass - and that ain't easy with your own leg.
Um...when did I write this? Wait, I would so answer coffee before my mom, and those books are all still on my list to read. Does this mean I wrote it in the future? It's just all so very familiar. Maybe we need to have a support group meeting.
Oh Kayta you are SO not alone! I feel like that waaaay too often. If you figure out what it's all for can you let me know? I have to say when we met up all I say was confidence shining through. You are such a lovely woman! :0)
So many moms could have written that.
Thank you for your honesty.
You have incredible worth and value, especially to your boys. You make the home by being there and loving them, not by cleaning the home.
I also still have no idea who I am other than "Mom".
Oh hun. I hope things are better since I am waaay late to the party.
Who sets this standard of what you "should" do? You do what you think is best, what works, what you can manage. And that's enough!
One day I think I have it figured out, the next I spend all day saying everything you have said.
