Today I was asked to describe what I saw when I looked around my house(while not actually in my house), in terms of it's clutter and uncleanliness. After listing a lot of things I saw the last thing I said was,
"I see a lot of things that don't have a home, just laying around all willy nilly."
"There are a lot of things all around me that do not have a home."
I feel like this is not my home.
Because
I never felt like I had a home.
This is some deep shit people.
The saying I have said for years,"There's no place like home." takes on a totally different meaning now.
What is "home"?
I have much inner work to do. I just wish I wasn't so damn analytical.

I went looking for info about"home is where the heart is"
one place said it was a 19th century proverb, another said it was Roman, said by Pliny the elder (Have you ever heard of him? Not I!)
I don't think it means that your heart has to be at home -- but rather, your heart determines the place. If your heart is there -- that's where you'll make it.
So, I would ask you to describe the things that are in your heart.
I read it here all the time.... pretty special stuff in there!
You definitely need to enjoy my circle joint smoking sing a long.
Listen to Pamela. She is a wise woman.
I agree with Jenni.
When we moved to TX, my mom hung a framed sign, "This may not be Home Sweet Home. Get used to it." Which was a great saying for me to read daily when giving my poor parents such grief for uprooting us.
I agree with Pamela that your heart is what makes a home a home. Regardless of where you may be stationed, you and your family make it a home.
I need to join in with you and Nikki in order to get any deeper...
Wow, you are deep! What the heck?! There are so many different "homes" in us all and I spend too much time reflecting myself!
